Feather sign buy-back program / City of Sherwood, Oregon.

Abstract: The City of Sherwood, Oregon, advertised a program in which any business with a valid license could apply for the city to buy back feather signs, also called flutter or teardrop signs, which the city defined as a sign made of lightweight material which is designed to, or actually does, wave or move in the wind without meeting the definition of a flag or banner sign. Due to an initial lack of clarity in the city sign code, the city offered the buy-back program to help mitigate the impact of prohibiting these signs.
