Abstract: There are many reported benefits to Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs—from reduced response time to improved safety for both police and the community. There are many challenges as well for these novel initiatives, not the least of which is societal acceptance. This report looks at the origins of DFR, concerns, potential benefits, and tips for implementing a DFR program.
