This important activity continues moving forward and will be picking up considerable steam over the next few days. Several of you have inquired about its progress and I can report that it’s moving forward well.

Every hire in MTAS affects each of us in some way, as it should. And because it does, I think each of us should have an opportunity to participate in its process. It’s in that regard I message you this afternoon.

Margaret Norris is serving as chair of the search committee and she is working to get the candidate assessment and interview schedules on search committee members’ calendars. The committee should be able to begin its assessments next week and interviews will follow soon after. Prior to the interviews, I hope each of you would take the opportunity to think about questions you would ask the candidates if you were on the search committee. If you choose to do this, I ask that you send those to Margaret NO LATER THAN Friday of this week, August 31 st . It’s probably unrealistic to expect each one to get asked by the search committee, but general themes indicated by the questions you submit can certainly be discussed in the interviews.

Thanks in advance for giving this some thought. I hope you’ll give Margaret your questions.
