How can we help you?

The Research and Information Center (RIC) librarians manage collections of information to assist municipal staff and officials in their daily work. We provide research, reference, and survey services.

In addition to assisting with information inquiries, the staff are also responsible for the quarterly MTAS E-News and posting to MTAS’s social media. Follow MTAS on Facebook, X and LinkedIn.

The MTAS Research Library Online provides MTAS work products such as legal opinions, reports and studies, survey results, as well as library materials available to be checked out.

Access MRLn

The MTAS Online Resource is an encyclopedia of Tennessee municipal government information covering topics from annexation to zoning. 

Access MORe

Surveys are conducted for MTAS consultants and city officials to collect unique information on municipal government not available from other sources. Contact us today to see how we can help you with a custom survey.

The MTAS Salary Survey is a salary information resource for municipalities in Tennessee. The salary information in the MTAS Salary Survey is voluntarily provided by the municipalities that choose to participate in this annual survey.
