Please help us welcome our new employees, Courtney Viar and Sarah Valk!

Courtney Viar has joined MTAS as a CMFO training instructor and finance and accounting consultant in our Knoxville office. Courtney comes to MTAS after serving as the director of finance and administrative operations for the Lenoir City Utilities Board. Courtney has a bachelor's degree in business management from Maryville College and earned her master's in business administration from Lincoln Memorial University. She holds both the CMFO and the Certified County Finance Officer (CCFO) designations from MTAS and CTAS.

Sarah Valk has joined MTAS as a legal consultant in our Johnson City office. Sarah most recently served as assistant city attorney for City of Kingsport, Tennessee. She's also worked with the firm of Hunter, Smith & Davis LLP in Kingsport. She received her bachelor's degree in administration from Milligan College and graduated from the UT College of Law.
