The city of McMinnville, Tennessee requested MTAS that conduct an examination of the last 10 years of the city’s audits to glean information using a 10 key financial ratio test assessment tool. This tool was developed by Ken Brown, Ph.D., C.P.A in the December 1993 Government Finance Review . Various financial ratios developed by Dr. Brown were used to gauge the fiscal health of the city compared to cities in similar size. Another objective of this analysis was to determine the trend analysis of the city’s financial operations since fiscal year end 2011 to fiscal year end 2022.
