Abstract: For nearly five decades, the Lawrence County, Tenn., economy prospered thanks to construction and expansion of a plant operated by Murray, manufacturer of bicycles and mowers, that employed about 4,500 at it's peak.  Lawrence county has collaborated with Lawrenceburg Utility System and TVA to encourage growth in the area.
