Firehouse law : mapping the minefield / John Rukavina.

Fire service leaders recognize that the law can be a minefield. Many of these legal mines are well-known and avoidable. Others are not always easy to spot. They’re placed because of new laws or court decisions, or legislative changes (legalization of recreational use of marijuana, for example). Other examples discussed in this article involve excited delirium, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), religious accommodations, workplace free speech and social media policy.
