Abstract: The information specialist is a dynamic link between user and collection, taking an active, high tech, servicing approach to information access. Information specialists network heavily; search extensively onlin; are flexible with circulation and cataloging; manipulate, edit, and repackage inforamation; and offer many current awareness services.
