Class Description
The IMPACT Series draws from Stephen Covey’s time management principle of prioritizing activities that are “important but not urgent” to produce long-term impact. This is where highly effective people focus most of their attention. These free, virtual, one-hour sessions will feature important topics that, if prioritized, can positively impact your productivity and community.Performance Measurement for Municipalities – March 7 Chris Shults, Ph.D. Grants and Training Specialist, MTAS How are you assessing performance within your municipality? According to the GFOA, “… government should identify, track, and communicate performance measures.” Measures are indicators that help you understand how you are performing against organizational and strategic goals. Join us for an introduction to performance measurement. Retire Ready – June 13 Drew Freeman Director of Outreach, Tennessee Treasury Department As financial stress becomes more prevalent, many employers are adding financial wellness programs which can positively impact performance. Planning for retirement is one area where employees may experience stress. With life expectancy increasing, retirement could last much longer than 20 years and some employees fear the possibility of “outliving our retirement savings.” Is your retirement planning on track? Join Drew Freeman, Director of Outreach from the Tennessee State Treasury Department, to learn more about retirement planning and what steps you can take to be retire ready.  All sessions are from 1:30-2:30 p.m. ET / 12:30-1:30 p.m. CT via Zoom.
