The Town of Bluff City is hiring
Water Treatment Plant Operator
Under general direction of the Public Works Director, the Water Treatment Plant Operator performs the operation and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant. The employee may also perform a variety of general labor activities such as operation of a truck, mowing, general mechanical repairs, painting, etc. Work is generally routine and is accomplished in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices. Work is performed independently with limited supervision and independent judgment must be used when accomplishing tasks most of the time.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Grade II Water Treatment Operator certification required within six (6) months of hire date.
- A combination of education, training and experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential job functions.
- Must hold a driver's license valid in the State of Tennessee with a clean driving record.
- Must have the ability to be bonded.
