The Staff Attorney 2 serves the City of Chattanooga by providing legal services to city departments and various city boards, commissions, and committees; representing the city in the courts of Tennessee and the United States and before administrative agencies; and performing a variety of professional tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
SERIES LEVEL:
The Staff Attorney 2 is the second level in a two-level staff attorney series.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Juris Doctor from an accredited college or university; seven (7) years of practicing civil law strongly preferred.
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License
Licensure to practice law in the State of Tennessee, admission to Tennessee and Federal courts, and good standing with the Tennessee Supreme Court are required.
Must hold a license to practice in state and federal courts in Tennessee and possess a strong working knowledge of Tennessee and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence.
