Public Works Director
The Public Works department is currently looking for an experienced Director. This person will direct the day-to-day operations of the Public Works department, including planning, directing, and reviewing the activities of the department and its divisions (municipal solid waste, traffic operations, street maintenance), coordinating assigned activities with other Town departments and related outside agencies, and providing highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager. The Director will also be responsible for determining departmental policies, planning long-term programs, and making difficult technical decisions.
Minimum Requirements: This position requires a valid TN Driver License, Bachelor's degree in construction related, civil related engineering, or a related field, and substantial high-level professional experience in public works, utilities, engineering, or any combination of experience, education, or training that demonstrates this person has the leadership competencies necessary to fulfill the job requirements.
