Planner/GIS

The Development Services department is currently looking for a Planner/GIS to join their growing team. The person in this role will provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support for all Town departments and will assist with municipal planning & development review activities. This person will also assist the Planning Administrator in reviewing plats, site plans, zoning applications & development proposals, as well as provide mapping/spatial analysis for rezonings, annexations, land use planning, etc. 

This position requires a valid TN Driver License and a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Urban or Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Surveying (be a current Licensed Surveyor) , Environmental Science or a closely related Qeld. Experience in GIS, planning, engineering support, surveying or related work is preferred. Knowledge of GIS including ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online is strongly preferred, as well as experience in municipal government.
