The city of Millersville is seeking a Parks and Recreation Director to lead the planning, development, and operation of the City’s parks, recreation programs, facilities, and community events.
This is a full-time, exempt leadership position with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the quality of life in our community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing recreation programs and special events
- Managing parks, facilities, and equipment
- Leading staff and volunteers
- Overseeing budgets and grant opportunities
- Building partnerships and promoting community engagement
Ideal candidates will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation, Recreation Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in parks and recreation management or a related field
- Experience with budgeting, program development, and community engagement preferred
- A valid driver’s license
