Multimedia Communications Specialist

Performs a variety of integrated marketing, information, media, and public relations functions in support of broad City-wide priorities, initiatives and specific events and projects, as well as targeted outreach campaigns. Creates, maintains, and monitors content for a variety of digital and traditional communications – including news releases, website, social media, video, reports, and other collateral. Work is performed in collaboration with multiple departments under the supervision of the Director of Communications.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in communications, electronic media, broadcasting, marketing, journalism or related field and moderate experience in electronic media, communications, marketing, and/or journalism or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Special Requirements:

  • Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the State of Tennessee.
