The City of Cleveland is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and motivated professional to serve as its Director of Finance & Administrative Services. This executive-level position plays a vital role in the City's financial management, administrative operations, and organizational leadership.
Position Summary
Under the general direction of the City Manager, the Director of Finance & Administrative Services is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the City's financial and administrative functions. The position provides strategic financial leadership, manages budgeting and accounting operations, ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, supervises departmental staff, and supports the City Council and City Manager in achieving organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in accounting, finance, or related fields, preferably including governmental accounting experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Valid Tennessee Driver's License, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
