Tennessee landfills : the old and the new

Summary:The City of Dyersburg opened a 160-acre landfill within two miles of the city in March of 1988. The land, approximately square in shape, is served by a good county road, and the soil, geology and drainage are said to be idea. The entire site is approved, except for about 35 acres at the north end, which is in a flood plain.
