Note:In Public managment. -- Vol. 71 - no. 8 (Aug. 1989)
Summary:The first 90 days in a new city is a crucial period for a manager. With nearly every statement and move made by the manager during these first few months being reported on by the press, serious errors of judgement can set the stage for future failure in that city. There is one point that will be most important to the new manager's success. That is the necessity of good press relations.
