The Honorable H.C. Jacobs

Mayor

130 West Maple Street

Morrison, TN 37357

Dear Mayor Jacobs:

In response to your question as to whether "wine coolers" may be sold at establishments where beer is sold for on site consumption, please be advised that the Alcoholic Beverage Commission has informed me that wine coolers are to be treated as beer, since they average less than 5% alcohol. Establishments that sell beer may also sell wine coolers.

Please contact me if I may be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Don J. Darden

Municipal Management Consultant
