ORDINANCE NO. 2004-____
AN ORDINANCE TO INCREASE
THE CITY COURT FEES BY AMENDING
SECTION 3-108 OF THE CITY CODE.
WHEREAS, The City of New Johnsonville has a city court; and
WHEREAS, The City of New Johnsonville has not increased court costs in several years; and
WHEREAS, The City of New Johnsonville’s current court costs are not sufficient to cover city court expenses.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW JOHNSONVILLE:
Section 1. Section 3-108 of the City of New Johnsonville Code, entitled Imposition of fines and costs shall be amended by deleting the last sentence and replacing it with the following:
The cost for an individual ticket or prosecution in the municipal court for the City of New Johnsonville to be added to the fine and litigation tax or other assessment by the State of Tennessee shall be $120.00.
This Ordinance shall take effect the _____ day of _________, 2004.
