Executive Administrative Assistant

The City of Mount Pleasant is accepting applications for the Executive Administrative Assistant.

The City is seeking a highly organized and professional administrative employee to support the Finance Department under the supervision of the Finance Director. This position is responsible for managing office operations, maintaining records, and providing administrative and clerical support in a fast-paced, public-facing environment. The role requires the ability to handle frequent interruptions, interact with a diverse range of individuals, and manage multiple priorities while following established procedures and standards.

Key responsibilities include providing administrative support to City Management as needed, coordinating schedules and meetings, processing departmental mail, preparing reports and public meeting documentation, assisting with public records requests in compliance with TPRA guidelines, and attending meetings to record and distribute minutes. The employee will also assist with maintaining training records for elected officials, provide backup customer service support, and help coordinate content for websites, newsletters, press releases, and other communications. Proficiency with standard office equipment and strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills are essential for success in this role.
