Municipal Administration Program
Where you decide what's important! That's why we offer monthly courses in Municipal Administration. Training topics are selected from student feedback, input from consultants, association surveys and are also based on new and pending legislative issues facing the cities we serve.
Course offerings fall into two categories:
- Administration/Technical; and
- Leadership/Management.
Completion of these MTAS training programs lead to certificates for elected officials, appointed officials and municipal employees, and municipal managers and supervisors.
Credit
Most MAP courses have met International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) criteria for continuing education credits (CEUs). There are two certificate options that statewide course participants can pursue.
Registration
The registration fee for MAP courses for Tennessee city officials is $50 each. A fee of $65 is charged for non-city officials. Registration is required. Seating is limited at all sites, so please register in advance. Submit payment with your registration. MTAS will need to receive payment in order to confirm your attendance for the class.
