Dear Municipal Officials and Staff,

Times are changing. We often hear about how towns and cities face new challenges every day and a quick look at any newspaper confirms times are changing. No matter the challenge, towns and cities respond. That is your duty as municipal officials and staff and, more importantly, it is your passion as public servants. That is what you are called to do. The challenge of municipal government is that it does not come with an instruction manual.

Every day comes with a new experience and a new life lesson. Learning never stops. Whether we are developing new areas of service or improving current services, we are always learning something new. MTAS knows that and we are committed to providing Tennessee cities with good, practical, useful training. Times are changing and so are we. MTAS continually evaluates current municipal training programs and trends to ensure we provide up-to-date training expertise and experience to meet your changing environment and service demands.

The 2018 MTAS Training Catalog is designed to be a tool for planning an effective training schedule for 2018. As you read through the catalog, you will see the training courses available, where and when the courses are held and how the courses will be delivered. If you have any questions or need additional information please contact any member of the MTAS training team. We are here to help and it would be our pleasure to meet your training needs.

Thank you for the work you do every day in Tennessee’s towns and cities. Learning never stops and MTAS and its training team are ready to respond to the changing demands in Tennessee towns and cities. We will be by your side as you work tirelessly to make your municipality great.

Sincerely,

Margaret Norris
Executive Director
