RESOLUTION NO. __________

A resolution to FORMALLY ACCEPT AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR A HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT INVOLVING
A TURN LANE IN FRONT OF THE PERRY COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL.



WHEREAS, The State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation offers the Hazard Elimination Program;

WHEREAS, The Hazard Elimination Program targets highway locations with the highest crash rates, identifies ways to reduce the number of crashes at each location and carries out the recommended solutions;

WHEREAS, The Hazard Elimination Program has identified the need for a turn lane in front of the Perry County High School located at 401 Squirrel Hollow Drive;

WHEREAS, the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation requires an agreement, in the form of a contract and certified resolution, be signed and executed with the Town to implement the Hazard Elimination Program; and

WHEREAS, The Board of Mayor and Aldermen of Linden, Tennessee desires to enter into such an agreement with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF LINDEN, TENNESSEE that the Town formally accepts the agreement with the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation, contract number 04004, PIN number 103233.00.

THAT THIS RESOLUTION SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM AND AFTER ITS PASSAGE, THE PUBLIC WELFARE REQUIRING IT.
