JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of CITV Executive Producer, responsible for video, audio and A/V equipment projects; responds to service requests from various sources. Works flexible hours; some evening and/or weekend work required. Does related work as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Creates and produces programming for CITV, including directing and shooting at various sites, and all post-production aspects of video production. Creates new innovative treatments for video and graphics projects. Assists other producers with projects in various capacities. Provides computer graphics assistance, A/V technical assistance, and equipment assistance to other members of City staff. Handles service requests from departments involving equipment set-ups, tape duplications, and other similar assignments. Maintains production equipment through routine maintenance procedures, or by coordinating repairs through vendors. Lifts up to 50 lb. of camera equipment. Sees clearly and distinguishes colors. Shows initiative in performing job duties.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, DEGREES, CERTIFICATES, AND/OR LICENSE:
Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism, Radio/TV, Communications or related field. Texas Operator's License, class C.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
Three years progressively responsible professional experience in television production. Knowledge of camera techniques, script writing, and editing procedures. Knowledge of audio and video wiring techniques. Strong creative, reading, and writing skills required. Proficient in use of computer programs with emphasis on graphics software and word processing. Ability to courteously and effectively communicate with public and with City staff; ability to translate difficult technical information into layman's terms; ability to organize work effectively and
meet short deadlines. Experience in all aspects of television production required. Ability to use television equipment under demanding physical conditions and at sites requiring good physical ability and strength.
