AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE PARKS AND GREENWAYS OF THE CITY OF HARROGATE.

Whereas, it is necessary that rules and regulations be established for the use of parks and green ways in the City of Harrogate, Tennessee; and

Whereas, it is necessary that the City of Harrogate be able to amend the rules and regulations from time to time; and

Now, therefore, be it ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMEN as follows:

Section 1. The attached rules and regulations “Exhibit A” are hereby adopted by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and may be amended from time to time by Resolution of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. A copy of such rules and regulations shall be filed with the City Recorder and will be available for citizen review. The Mayor is authorized to post pertinent rules and regulations within the parks and green way as he determines necessary.

Section 2. Any violation of the provisions of this ordinance that are designated misdemeanors shall be punishable by a fine not exceed $50 per day for each violation. The court may also order a person found to have committed a misdemeanor under this ordinance to make full restitution.

Section 3. These regulations are in addition to other applicable city, state and federal laws.

This Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage, the public welfare requiring it.
