CITY OF COWAN, TENNESSEE

ORDINANCE NO.____


AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COWAN DESIGNATING THE CITY COUNCIL AS THE BEER BOARD

WHEREAS, the City Council has for many years served as the Beer Board and records that would show that the City Council officially designated itself as the Beer Board are not available; and

WHEREAS, to eliminate any confusion, the City Council is by enactment of this ordinance officially designating itself as the “Beer Board: for the City of Cowan; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Cowan, Tennessee as follows:

Section 1. The City Council is hereby designated as the Beer Board for the City of Cowan and is authorized to regulate the sale of beer.

Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon final passage, the public welfare requiring it.
