Interim Town Planner

The Town of Nolensville has an immediate need for an Interim Town Planner. The position is temporary until a permanent full-time Town Planner is hired. This is a great opportunity for a retired Municipal Planner, or someone currently in between roles.

The Interim Town Planner will direct short and long range Town Planning and community development services. The position also directs implementation and enforcement of zoning ordinances, land use plans, and subdivision design and construction regulations.

The required knowledge, skill, and abilities to satisfactorily perform job duties are normally acquired through attainment of a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or related field, plus 8-10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. AICP certification is required.

Normal working hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. with an occasional evening meeting. The interim position can be part-time or full-time, employee or contract based.
