AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TOWN OF BELL BUCKLE’S TRAVEL POLICIES AS SET FORTH IN ORDINANCE NO._________

WHEREAS, the Town of Bell Buckle’s travel policies are set forth in Ordinance No. ______; and

WHEREAS, the town adopted policies for rate regulation based on the State of Tennessee’s reimbursement rate; and

WHEREAS, the State’s reimbursement rates appear to be grossly out of line with the actual cost of travel at $.46 per mile while the Federal reimbursement rate is $.585 per mile; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen does not desire that its employees subsidize the cost of travel in conducting the town’s business; now, therefore:

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the Town of Bell Buckle:

Section 1. Ordinance No. _______ establishing the town’s travel policies is amended by inserting “Federal” under Travel Reimbursement Rate Schedules.

Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon final passage, the public welfare requiring it.
