Original Document: Reference Documents: Text of Document: December 22, 1997 Memorandum To: Department Directors From: Ron Darden Subject: Overtime/ Holiday Pay Employees who work over forty hours per week, and are not exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half their normal rate of pay. If you take a vacation day or a sick day during the week and do not actually work forty (40) hours you will not receive overtime pay. If you actually work on a holiday you will receive the paid holiday plus straight time for the hours worked.
