Box 158 Wartrace, Tennessee 37183 Re: Walking Horse Museum Dear Ms. Gentry We recently discussed funding possibilities for assisting with locating the National Walking Horse Museum in Wartrace. The town may operate the museum as a town department or the museum may incorporate as a non- profit corporation, to which the town may contribute. If the town is providing most of the funding, it could maintain control by establishing the museum as a town museum. If most of the financing is from other sources, the public corporation may be a better route. If the town is putting up the money, my recommendation is to retain control of the museum by operating it as a city department. Sincerely Ron Darden Municipal Management Consultant
